The Termites (44 NA spp) are social insects, living in large colonies, and are very destructive to wooden structures in the south. Colonies include the queen, workers, soldiers, and nasutes
(individuals that squirt noxious blah from their nozzle-like heads). Their diet of cellulose is digested by intestinal protozoa. Four families (Hodotermitidae, Kalotermitidae, Rhinotermitidae,
